Acrylic pouring is an abstract painting technique blending acrylic paint and various pouring mediums to create complex color combinations to express ideas and emotions. The paint is applied directly to a stretched canvas, and the color and paint are allowed to develop unobstructed using painting techniques designed to let the paint develop freely.
It’s that freedom that draws us to the fluid art. We started to pour paint as a form of art therapy to cope with a difficult time in life. As we continued to paint, we become fascinated with the subtleties of this style of art. The process and quality of fluid art allow us to explore emotion and abstract concepts free from restraints that can come with traditional representational painting and even some other forms of abstract art. Working without the need for conventional painting tools like brushes and pallet knives allows us to truly experiment with color. Finding the right blend of tones and hues to express ideas and emotions in a fundamental way.

Acrylic pouring is a form of abstract art, also known as fluid art or flow art. It’s an innovative way of blending multiple colors of acrylic paints and additional fluid mediums to let the paint flow and blend naturally as they come in contact with each other.
Instead of using traditional tools like brushes or knives to create this art, we pour the paint directly onto our canvas. This process creates visually stunning organic, free-flowing abstract compositions and color combinations unique to fluid art.
